Plow & Hearth has a fabulous selection of items for summer.  I was immediately drawn to their outdoor benches and chairs as I am in need of a few.  The have a lot to choose from, but I eventually chose their Bamboo Folding Chair (pictured above).

When my new chair arrived I was first impressed with how flat it folds.  That is so nice for storing the chair, as it will take up a lot less space.  It also has velcro straps that make it so the chair stays closed while your moving it.  Great for taking with you to the beach, park, or anywhere.  I love to use this chair for laying out in the sun in my backyard.  It has 3 different levels you can recline to, which is perfect for laying out.

Brag Worthy Summer ~ ATG Stores Verso Toro Kids Bicycle Review and $100 GC Giveaway [CLOSED]

bike1I love the great selection that ATG Stores offers for online shopping.  I find myself browsing there site and having a hard time narrowing down what I would like to buy :)   Especially right now because they have so many great outdoor and summer products.

After browsing for about an hour I finally decided on the Verso KT902-129 Toro Boys Kids Bicycle for Bug.  Right now he doesn’t have a pedal bike and I figured this summer was the perfect time to get him one.  The shipping from ATG Stores was really fast (arrived within a week).  It took my hubby about 30 minutes to put the bike together, it comes partially assembled which is nice so you don’t bike1have to put the whole thing together, just some of it.  Once it was put together I was immediately impressed with the quality if this kids bike, it is heavy duty and I can tell it will last for a long time.  I also love that it can hold up to 110 lbs. and the seat and training wheels are adjustable.  Another way this bike will grow with your child.  The red and black look so well together, it is a great looking boys bike.  Bug is loving it and likes to ride it to the park and the pool (and all over the neighborhood when we go on our walks).  I am very happy with this product from ATG Stores!

Brag Worthy Summer ~ Cold Stone Creamery Review and $10 Gift Card Giveaway (5 Winners!) [CLOSED]

I’ve always been a huge Cold Stone Creamery fan. I mean really, who isn’t? There’s ice cream, and then there’s Cold Stone. Yummmm.

I was so excited to have an excuse to go there. My husband & youngest son went on vacation for a long weekend, which gave me the perfect opportunity to take my oldest on a mommy/son Cold Stone date. I admit I went with the cake batter. I wanted to be more daring, but I just couldn’t pass it up! It’s SOOOO good, and so unique to Cold Stone. I mixed in some Heath bar, which was the perfect combination. Yumminess in my mouth. My son got the strawberry with no mix-ins, which he was very ecstatic over. He didn’t even leave a drop. The service was fantastic, the place was clean, and overall we had a great “date”. It’s the perfect place to bring anyone you’re looking to spend a little time with!  Joanna_Sig_Blue

My family LOVES Cold Stone Creamery. This is one of my husband’s favorite places to go, so naturally he was really excited about getting a gift card so we could try something new! My husband usually gets just the Vanilla mixed in with cookie dough or Oreo’s but tonight he decided to try one of their shakes and he wasn’t sorry he did. He loved the Oreo Shake and I couldn’t get enough of it imageeither. One thing I really love is that I am lactose intolerant and can’t have a  ton of Ice Cream BUT they have other choices like their yummy Sorbet and that’s what I decided to get. I loved the Raspberry Sorbet mixed with Chocolate Chips it was super super yummy! My daughter loves anything having to do with Ice Cream and she had the Blue Cotton Candy Ice Cream mixed with Gummy Bears and she was in absolute Heaven and a sugar coma for the rest of the day! I love the service every time we go in there. They are always very patient and are willing to let you try any flavor that you want until you find that perfect one. When we are in the mood for some delicious ice cream, image Cold Stone is usually the place we turn to.  They have so many yummy flavors and mix-ins to choose from.  I am a really big Cheesecake ice cream with strawberries and cake batter with brownies fan.  My hubby loves the Coffee ice cream with Heath Bar as the mix in. This time I decided to get a cake and bring it come to my family as a surprise.  I chose the Cookie Dough Delirium Signature Cake since my little guy is a huge cookie dough fan.  It is: “Moist yellow cake, sweet cream ice cream with cookie dough & chocolate shavings covered in fluffy, white frosting.”  It was a huge hit, and was gobbled up fast!  I highly recommend Cold Stone Creamery ice cream cakes for any special occasion!     Heidi_Sig_Pink

When I want good Ice Cream, Cold Stone is my number one choice. If I am going to spend money on it, I want it to be for variety’s that I can’t just buy at the grocery store. Cold Stone definitely has those unique flavors that I am looking for. Three of my all time favorites are: Oatmeal Cookie Batter, Cake Batter, & Peanut Butter. In fact, I have never been to Cold Stone without image getting one of those 3 flavors. I have a really difficult time passing up that Oatmeal Cookie Batter so that is what I chose to use my gift card on. It’s delicious alone, but I had to add my favorite mix-ins to it so I added Graham Cracker crust & brownies. It seriously doesn’t get better than that. My girls were happy to have their usual as well. They chose Bubblegum ice cream with….BUBBLEGUM (go figure)! The employees at Cold Stone were super friendly (as always) and didn’t give me dirty looks when my kids asked to sample a few flavors :) . It’s always nice to go somewhere that is kid-friendly. It was a fantastic night out with my family & GREAT ice cream. I will never get tired of Cold Stone & even though it is quite the drive from my house, it is always worth it!!! Kim_Sig_Orange

 

I love ice cream.  I think that it is one of the best treats ever created.  I love Cold Stone Creamery.  I am one of those boring people though.  I do not create my own ice cream.  All the choices are too overwhelming for me.  I normally pick one of their fabulous ‘signature creations’ image and have one of those.  On my most resent trip to Cold Stone, I got the Cheesecake Fantasy signature creation and my sister got the pink lemonade sorbet mix with raspberries.  Both of our ice creams were delicious.  My sister and I were very impressed with the service at our Cold Stone Creamery.  When we walked in, there was a very long line.  We were expecting that we were probably going to be waiting awhile.  To our surprise, we were served quickly and were enjoying our ice cream in a matter of minutes.  The service staff was also very friendly even though they were busy.  We were impressed.  I love Cold Stone Creamery and will continue to go often! Brag Worthy Summer~ Problem Solvers Review and $50 GC Giveaway

I am always looking for new fun ways to get more organized in my apartment.  I live in a little place and have WAY too much stuff.  Problem Solvers is a great place to look for products to get more organized.  I was very excited to receive my Over-the-Door Flower Hook.  It is such an easy place to hang up my purse and keys.  I have not been misplacing my keys anymore!

Another thing that was fun to discover was that Problem Solvers has many different kinds of products.  They also have fun things for the kitchen.  One of my favorite things about camping is eating S’Mores.  I was very excited to discover an Indoor S’More Maker.  It is so easy to use.  You can use it in your oven or on your grill.  When I used it the first time, I did it in the oven.  It only takes about 5 minutes for yummy S’More goodness.  My only thing is that the marshmallows did not get that toasty taste that you get from roasting them over the fire.  Next time, I will be trying them on the grill to see if I get more of that toasted marshmallow favor.

Problem Solvers have many different products to try out!  They also have products for the kitchen, living room, many different tools and gadgets, and some great outdoor furniture.

So I was talking to my friend the other day and she has started a new system with her 2 yr old daughter. They are trying to potty train her and have decided to do a fun money system! I was introduced to Yandy lingerie and costumes last fall when I was able to review one of their sexy Halloween costumes (I was a genie!).  I loved the costume and so did everyone at our Halloween party.  image

Baja-Belted-Bikini-4I was really excited to recently learn that Yandy also carries a great line of swim suits!  I had a hard time choosing a bikini, since there are so many fun and sexy bikinis on their site.  Finally after a long time trying to make up my mind :) I chose this Baja Belted Bikini with triangle top (pictured right).  When it arrived I couldn’t wait to try it on and was so happy to see that it fit perfectly.  It is made of a great material and looks super sexy on!  The white belt really makes the swim suit, it’s so cute.  The bottoms are full coverage and that helps me to feel completely comfortable while wearing this suit.  And best of all my husband absolutely loves this bikini on me.  I am very happy with my Yandy swim suit and will probably be ordering at least one more from them.  They have such great prices!

I received a yummy package the other day.  Inside it was a Milk Chocolate Rabbit, Keepsake Box, Rocky Road Egg with Walnuts and a gift certificate all  from See’s Candies! Little Bug was thrilled to eat his Chocolate Rabbit and  gobbled it up!  The keepsake box is so pretty in pastel colors, perfect for Easter or for Mother’s day as well.  The Rocky Road Egg is so big, we have been eating a little at a time.  It is super yummy!  Then we decided to take a trip as a family to the mall to use our gift certificate.  Inside the store I was impressed by how much Easter Candy they have to offer.  It is mostly chocolate of course.  Which is perfect for my Choc-aholic family (myself included).  We all picked out some chocolates to eat that night and I stashed up on some goodies for our Easter Baskets.  Our chocolates were so very yummy!     Carino’s Italian Restaurant Healthy Kids Menu Review and $50 GC Giveaway [CLOSED]

    We have been going to Carino’s Italian to eat as a family for a while now.   I am a huge Italian food fan. The food is delicious and the service is great.  My hubby’s favorite menu item is the Carino’s Favorites combo.  It has Lasagna, chicken parmigiana and spaghetti with marinara.  My favorite menu item is the Classic Pizza Margherita.  But we have tried several other items on the menu as well and all were delicious.  Our favorite appetizers are the Hand Breaded Calamari and the Baked Stuffed Mushrooms.  Yummmm…all this talk about Carino’s makes me want to go eat there tonight :)  

    I was so excited to see that Carino’s has a new healthy kid’s menu for kids.  I am always trying to feed Bug only the best and healthiest of foods.  This is hard to do when eating out.  So Carino’s new healthy kids menu is a huge plus for us.  All the kid’s items are under 500 calories and created by the Executive Chef, Chris Peitersen.  Bug loves the Kid’s Cheese Tortellini & also the Kid’s Spaghetti with tomato sauce.  Both come in at around 250 calories.  That is great!  Especially when you compare it to other restaurant’s kid’s menus nutritional facts.  I love knowing Carino’s has better options for kids.

    I received the Rainbow Rollers from Gifted Imaginations. It actually just arrived today.  We immediately got it out of the box and bug has been playing with it for 45 minutes straight!  Wow!  It says a lot about a toy when it can keep a 3 year old occupied.  This toy has wooden cars that are included.  Your child sends the cars down the ramp and they either flip over and continue down or they fly off.  This is a very cute toy I highly recommend it!

    {Brag Worthy Christmas} Magic Cabin Grow-With-Me Art Easel Review and $50 GC Giveaway [CLOSED]

    Art is something that I try to do in my classroom as much as I can.  I love to paint but I have been in need of a good easel for my students to use.  I was very excited to receive the Magic Cabin Grow-With-Me Easel.  

    This is a very high quality easel.  It is made of very sturdy wood and it is pretty easy to set up.  It has plenty of room to place art materials such as paint, chalk, brushes, etc.  Great places for storage is something that teachers are always looking for!  It keeps things clean!  It also folds up pretty easy to put away. 

    Another thing that made me excited is that there are many different activities except paint that I can do with this easel.  On one side it has a chalkboard and on the other side it has a whiteboard.  Not only can I do paint but my students can do activities with the chalkboard and the whiteboard.  I imagine that if this was set up with kids at home, you could have art activities going on for hours!  I am way excited to see all the fun we will have with this in my classroom. 

     

    Magic Cabin is also a great place to find all sorts of different fun activities and toys.  They have items for imaginative play, games and puzzles, dolls, outside activities, and other children’s toys.

    We have been big fans of Build-A-Bear Workshop for a few years now.  It is so fun for your child to be able to make their own friend.  From stuffing to placing a heart inside, to washing and brushing, and finally to dressing them up.  It is such a fun experience for any child.  We went into the Build-A-Bear store to take advantage of the promotion they are having “Get a Free Stocking with a purchase of $30 or more”.  Bug chose to make Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster (pictured left).  Isn’t he so cute??!!  Bug loved the whole experience and had a huge smile on his face the entire time we were in the store.  He chose a football outfit (with helmet) for Bumble to wear.  It was so much fun experiencing this with bug, we both had a great time.
